5.2.3 Removing the Pump/ Cap Assembly

1. Switch the Printer OFF.
2. Carry out the head park procedure.

1. Remove the allen screw as shown then remove the CR Lock Detent Cover.
2. Slide the cover towards the front of the printer and lift the cover up and off.

3. Remove the two cross point screws retaining the waste flushing unit.
4. Remove the waste flushing unit.

5. Locate the pump motor wiring harness (to the rear & below the carriage rail) as shown below.
6. Carefully unplug the pump harness from the cable connector.

7. Remove the two rear retaining cross point screws (below rear of carriage rail) as shown.
8. Next remove the two front retaining cross point screws.

9. Gently lift the pump cap assembly out by lifting the front portion up and out.
10. Rotate the assembly anti-clock wise to access the pump phase sensor connector.

11. Disconnect the pump phase sensor connector from the pump assembly.
12. Carefully lift the pump cap assembly out of the printer.

13. The waste drain can now be cleaned out.
