Performing a Power Clean on the Melco G2

A Power Clean cycle rapidly moves ink or cleaning solution through the Ink Delivery System. This function is used during some printer maintenance procedures to initiate ink flow through the entire Ink Delivery System. The Power Cleaning function can also be used to completely purge ink or cleaning solution from the Ink Delivery System.
- Begin with the machine on and the READY message on the display.
- Press the Menu button (1) time on the printer control panel until the display reads PRINTER SETUP.
- Press the down arrow button (4) times until the display reads MAINTENANCE.
- Press the Menu button (1) time to enter the MAINTENANCE menu.
- Press the down arrow button (2) times until the display reads PWR CLEANING.
- Press the Menu button (1) time until the display reads and toggles between the following 2 messages: USER MUST MOVE THE LEVERS WITH CLEANING and PERFORM POWER CLEANING.
- When PERFORM POWER CLEANING is displayed the option to select "Y" for yes or 'N" for no will appear.
- Press the Menu button (right arrow button) to select the "Y" for yes to command the Power Cleaning cycle to begin.
- The display will read PLEASE WAIT and a percentage complete value will display in the lower right corner of the display screen as the Power Cleaning cycle progresses.
- The display will soon read RAISE BOTH INK LEVERS.
- Raise both blue Ink System Delivery Levers to the up and unlocked position
- The display will read PLEASE WAIT as the Power Cleaning cycle progresses.
- Wait until the display reads LOWER BOTH INK LEVERS
- Lower both of the Ink System Delivery Levers to the down and locked position.
- The display will read PLEASE WAIT as the Power Cleaning cycle continues.
- The display will again read RAISE BOTH INK LEVERS.
- Raise both blue Ink System Delivery Levers to the up and unlocked position.
- The display will once again read PLEASE WAIT as the Power Cleaning cycle progresses.
- The display will read LOWER BOTH INK LEVERS
- Lower both of the Ink System Delivery Levers to the down and locked position.
- The display will read PLEASE WAIT as the Power Cleaning cycle progresses.
- When the Power Cleaning processes is complete the display will read READY
