Error Code Explanation Answer
01001D This can occur during machine initialization but may occur during or after printing if the printer settings are not correct. This error indicates the Print Head Carriage is commanded to move and no movement occurs. The error is usually a mechanical restriction of the Print Head Carriage. This error is intended to indicate when the Print Head Carriage motion is restricted and is typically caused by an "electrical" problem. To recover from this error condition use the list of possible solutions below. Verify that the Print Head Release lever is properly orientated by Releasing Print Head Carriage and inspecting for proper release lever motion and orientation. The Print Head Release Lever can be pivoted about the axis for proper orientation. Verify that the Paper Option on the printer display is set for the "Paper Roll" setting. Inspect the Print Head Carriage Linear Encoder Strip for contamination. Even the smallest amount of contamination will cause an improper reading of the encoder strip. Clean the Linear Encoder strip to remove any contamination. Clean the Print Head Linear Encoder Strip Sensor to ensure no contamination is blocking the sensor. Re-seat or change the Harness Encoder Cable Re-seat or change the Harness Head "B" Cable on the Linear Encoder Board. Change the Encoder Sensor Board Change the front Sub Board Change Harness 7, 8, 9 Change the Main Control Board
