When do you replace needles?

There are several signs that indicate it's time to replace the needles in an embroidery machine:
-
The needle is bent or dull: A bent or dull needle can cause the thread to break or the fabric to be damaged.
-
The needle is not making a clean, sharp point: If the needle is not making a clean, sharp point, it can cause skipped stitches or poor quality embroidery.
-
The needle is not properly inserted: If the needle is not inserted correctly, it can cause the thread to break or the fabric to be damaged.
-
The needle is the wrong size or type: If the needle is the wrong size or type for the thread or fabric being used, it can cause the thread to break or the fabric to be damaged.
-
Frequent thread breakage: If the thread is breaking frequently, it may be a sign that the needle is dull or damaged and needs to be replaced.
It's generally recommended to replace the needle after every 8-10 hours of use or after a certain number of designs stitched, depending on the needle's condition and the intensity of use. It's always best to refer to the manufacturer's manual or consult a professional for specific recommendations.
